Europe
Health systems
Health systems vary very widely in Europe and are conventionally classified into Beveridgian systems or national health systems (based upon the funding of the resources spent on health through taxation), as in the United Kingdom, or into Bismarckian systems or health insurance systems, structured around health insurance funds as in France or in Germany, although increasingly these latter do also draw part of their financing from taxation.
