The European Affairs Working Group.

MISSION
The European Affairs Working Group has as objective to prepare the meetings of the EAC, especially the preparation of analyses on European topics and/or if necessary the preparation of AIM opinions on these topics. It is mainly composed by delegates from the European AIM Member organisations in charge, or with relevant interest, in European affairs.
AIM activities at European level should be connected with its member organisations core activities namely health, long term care and mutual benefit societies business model.
OBJECTIVES
The objectives of the European Affairs Working Group can be declined as following:
- Stepping up provision, monitoring and exchanging information on developments in the fields of health, health care, long-term care, social protection, insurance and the social economy sector in the EU
- Analyses of EU policy relating health, health care, long-term care, social protection, insurance and the social economy sector
- Interest representation and EU-lobbying including the establishment/strengthening of target contacts with MEPs and other European institutions
